Toyah plays Marsha Hunt in Joe Dunlop’s exciting play that tells the behind-the-scenes story of how Bob Geldof pulled off Live Aid in 1985. The play, Remember Live Aid is now available on BBC Sounds having never been repeated since 1995.
Based on interviews with those involved in the quest to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. It also tells the stories of several ordinary people with cause to remember the global benefit concert.
Directed by Andy Jordan, it was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4 to mark Live Aid’s Tenth Anniversary in July 1995.
