I wish you all an absolutely brilliant May.
I have my 67th birthday and 39th wedding anniversary coming up and of course there is Robert’s birthday too.
So far 2025 has proved to be quite a tricky year but astrologists say come 26 May everything gets better for everyone. I am hugely into astrology, there’s been some very strange planetary things going on in the past year, starting around September of 2024 and it has all needed careful navigating but never would I have expected the events of the past week.

I AM STILL AS STRESSED AS HELL BUT WE ARE BOTH OK 🙂
Two Saturday’s ago Robert had flown to Italy for work. The next day he sent me a text in which he said “do not panic but I am in intensive care”. He’d had a heart attack, what he didn’t know after some phone calls from myself to the team looking after him is he possibly had had a silent stroke .
The good news is all of this happened within the vicinity of one of the best cardiac units in Italy. Within minutes he was with the best cardiac surgeons and specialist available. It was a miracle. He had five hours of surgery to put the first stent in. He was in intensive care for a day, now he is doing incredibly well.
When I talk to him there is very little different about him, he is obviously in shock and he has medication effecting him but he looks extremely well.
He looks incredible and I actually think the stents where badly needed. He’s probably feeling the best he has in a long time. We think the heart attack may have happened on his flight returning from Miami four weeks ago .
I have never felt so stressed in my life, I thought I was just going to pass out with stress. I did a lot of grieving. I was terrified, Robert had to have two surgeries. I realise that he was in the right place at the right time and his guardian angels took really good care of him so any of you that are alarmed by this, he’s in a really good place. He’s been saved.
We both need to address getting rid of saturated fat from our diets. I eat a lot of butter and we need to get rid of sugar. Both of us have stressful lives and we need to dial that down. I’ve said to Robert I will change my diet. I will change my lifestyle to suit him and rather wonderfully and selfishly for me he says he wants more time with me and to be with me when I’m working, for me that’s the greatest news I could hear and I’m hoping that by May 26th (the astrological shift for the better) all our lives will be improve and this very difficult past 10 months will become something of a past that we never revisit again.
HERE’S SOME HAPPIER NEWS!
So let’s start with the many incredible things about to happen in the next 12 months. We cannot announce the two main “happenings” because this is all appearing in sequence and first things first. We cannot run ahead of the horse and cart as it were. There’s some really lovely things happening. The planning has been so detailed and intensive. We are about to announce certain projects to you that you will never have seen before, so all I ask is just bear with us, we are as excited as hopefully you are!
On Easter Sunday many of you will know that little Eno was attacked by the wild rabbit and it was horrible to witness this beautiful young prima donna of a rabbit suddenly slumping outside our kitchen, his nose flowing with blood. I have no idea what happened. It happened so quickly, at first I thought the sparrow hawk might have attacked him but then I realise looking at him that he had teeth marks from the wild rabbit.
An emergency vet called NOW VETS were fantastic and dealt with him within an hour. So I thought hopefully that with the summer coming all would settle down to a sort of normality.
HERE’S THE FRUSTRATING THINGS IN MY LIFE!
Work-wise I have been persistently addressing PRS, probably for the past 8years, in recent years I have done the same shows as Robert yet ROBERT gets paid 1000% more than I get paid. PRS is actually paid me £58 in March and £40 in April for 12 months work I mean it’s crazy, I’ve had a lawyer on this for over three years. I’ve employed three people to list set lists and always what appears on their portals is inaccurate even though I’ve paid very intelligent people to list my performances.
That’s not the only portal I’m dealing with.
I am starting to dislike “portals”, its all too “matrix” and seems to keep us mere mortals at bay from what is rightfully ours!
The Sony portal said that Sony owe me nothing but with a little bit of detective work I managed to get into an account file and discovered that I owe Sony nothing and they owed me money. I wrote to them. They ignored that email. I wrote them again with a lawyer copied in and got an immediate reply and hopefully a payment. Online life is so frustrating and it takes up all of your attention. I yearn for the life when we just received letters.
AND THE GOOD NEWS!
We’re about to announce many many more gigs, also some really beautiful projects, one of which the likes you have not seen before it is including things you have never seen about me. It’s gonna be fun. For now, the two October Celebration gigs are on sale and FIVE dates in December with Big Country just gone on sale.
I’m about to Perform on a ship near Belgium. I’m looking forward to it. It’s gonna be a break from the drama of my life.
